About Maestro Di Vittorio:
"A poignant and lyrical musical spirit respectful of the ancient Italian tradition...following in the footsteps of Ottorino Respighi” - Luigi Verdi, Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna

Salvatore Di Vittorio is an Italian composer and conductor, and Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra of New York.

First noticed by orchestras in Italy which premiered his compositions in programs with Respighi’s music, Di Vittorio was brought to the attention of the family and archive curator/cataloger of Ottorino Respighi. He then received a commission from Respighi's family to edit, orchestrate and complete a number of Respighi's early works for critical editions - including the completion of Respighi's rediscovered first Violin Concerto (in A Major). The first set of these restorations have been recorded on Naxos Records.
See Discography.

Di Vittorio's original compositions, focused on symphonic tone poem/program symphony, and critical editions of Respighi's early music are published by Edizioni Panastudio and registered with SIAE in Rome, Italy. For more information about his music, please visit the Works page.
